Fire-rated metal doors are filled with a <strong>fire-resistant material<\/strong>, such as rock wool, and feature <strong>an intumescent gasket<\/strong> around the frame. The gasket expands when it comes into contact with fire to seal the door and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent rooms.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, fire doors are identified with a <strong>descriptive label<\/strong> indicating the fire safety standards with which the door complies. The European standard is identified by the designation <strong>\u201cEI2 (t) C5<\/strong>, <strong>\u201d<\/strong> where \u201ct\u201d represents the number of minutes of fire resistance. The label may also indicate that a door bears <strong>the CE mark<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A metal fire door is typically equipped with <strong>a door closer<\/strong> to help keep the door closed, and with <strong>a panic bar<\/strong> if it leads to a stairwell or serves as an emergency exit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, visit<br\/>.
