They consist of a guide spring for routing the cables and a base that secures the guide to the door. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To install a cable gland:<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1. <strong>Cut a rectangular hole<\/strong> measuring 265 x 25 mm, using the template, along the edge of the sheet approximately 400 mm from the bottom edge.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2. <strong>Run the cable through the <\/strong>door from the collar to the hole you drilled, leaving enough cable at each end to complete the installation later.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. <strong>Insert the end of the cable through the hole in the base and secure<\/strong> the base to the edge of the door using 2 sheet-metal screws (included).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. <strong>Thread the cable through the chrome spring and secure it <\/strong>to the base with 2 M4 screws (included).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. <strong>Drill a 14-mm-diameter hole in the frame<\/strong>, 232 mm from the top of the template.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. <strong>Thread the cable through it and screw<\/strong> the other end of the chrome spring to the door frame using 2 sheet-metal screws (included).<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"586\" src=\"https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables-1024x586.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-469\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables-1024x586.webp 1024w, https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables-300x172.webp 300w, https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables-768x439.webp 768w, https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables-1536x878.webp 1536w, https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/pasacables.webp 1551w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to learn more?<br\/>Send us an email at info@asturmadi.com<br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/asturmadidoors.com\/contacto\/\">Contact Us<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cable guides are used to facilitate electrical contact between the door panel and the door frame.
