How to install a fire-rated vision panel
The fire-rated vision panels are used on fire doors to provide visibility and avoid accidents when the door opens.
Fire-rated vision panels can be easily installed on site. Our technicians recommend to follow some easy steps in order to make a successfull installation:
To install a round vision panel, follow these steps:
> Trace a circle of the needed diameter in the centre of the leaf width.
> Drill on the edge of the circle with a 6mm bit, just enough to be able to insert the compass saw. Once the circle is cut, hit it to remove the cut piece.
> Place 4 clips around the gap as indicated on the sketch.
> Press the ring onto the leaf. Mark the fastening holes and drill. Rivet the ring to the leaf.
> Then turn the leaf around. Put the ceramic joint around the glass folding over the extra bits.
> Place the glass inside the gap.
> Press the second ring onto the leaf. Mark the fastening holes and drill. Secure the ring to the leaf.
